• Tang Tang is based on the tale of Issun-Boshi, who is a small boy who was 3 centimeters tall who ventured out on to become a warrior. He used a bowl as a boat, a chopstick as a paddle, a needle as a sword, and a piece of straw as a scabbard.
• Tang Tang's birthplace, Xiling Gorge, is a canyon on the Yangtze River in Hubei province, located in China, and it is the largest of the famous Three Gorges.
