Pop'n Music High☆Cheers!! (ポップンミュージック ハイチアーズ!!?)[2][3], also stylized as pop'n music High☆Cheers!! is a Japanese music/rhythm video game developed by KONAMI and BEMANI, and is the 29th main installment in the pop'n music series. The game received its first two location tests: one located in Tokyo Leisure Land Akihabara from July 5 to July 6, 2025, and the other in Round1 Sennichimae in July 12 to July 13, 2025.
The game also had another location test at AMUSEMENT EXPO 2025 from November 14 to 15, 2025.[4]
The game launched in arcades on December 18, 2025[5], releasing in Japan, Asia, and North America, for the first time.[3] News of the North American release broke through the official Twitter account of Ikigai Arcade from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which purchased two cabinets.[6]
New Cabinet Info[]
The new cabinet for pop'n music High☆Cheers!!, referred to as the Pikapika Pop-kun Model[5], contains some features that are different to the original cabinet for older pop'n music games. It runs in 120 FPS, has a monitor that is 43 inches, and is equipped with a headphone jack. There is also a smaller touch screen, positioned below the main monitor, as this is an alternative method to select songs and adjust options. Another unique feature for this cabinet is a pair of two Pop-kuns placed at each end of the general nine-button layout. Each of them toggle on/off the HIDDEN and SUDDEN option. The player can setup this option on the touch screen as well.[7]
Pop'n Cheers! Project[]
On its 27th anniversary (September 28, 2025), pop'n music had announced the Pop'n Cheers! Project, starting with an e-Amusement card sweepstake, followed by the wish box event on October 1, 2025, a genre submission event on the 8th, an EDP x beatnation summit concert on the 12th, and two upcoming song submission contests: one for beginner composers and one for professional composers[8][9]. The events inside the Pop'n Cheers! Project are to be connected with the 29th installment of the pop'n music franchise.
