References[]
- The reason why the eighteenth release is named Sengoku Retsuden is that there are some elements that are related to the Sengoku period:
- MASAMUNE derives from Masamune Date.
- Nobunaga, or N.NAGA, derives from Nobunaga Oda.
- Although GOEMON is a crossover character and debuts in Pop'n Music 12 Iroha, he is based on Goemon Ishikawa.
- くさびかたびら☆下克上! ~ 暗躍の樹海MIX and Ge-Ko-Ku-Jo derived from the Japanese word Gekokujou (下克上?), meaning that the person or a group of people in the lower position attempts to overthrow high-status people.
