- The "iroha" term derives from the Japanese eponymous poem, "Iroha Uta" (いろは歌?) invented from the Heian period.
- To the present, "iroha" is the word used for the basic Japanese alphabet, which is compared to the common English alphabet.
- The iroha karuta, a traditional alphabet matching card game, do play a role in the pop'n music 12 いろは AC ♥ CS pop'n music 10 album booklet, as the cards are depicted with each character from their respective tunes with their initial letter from their names (sans Roku, whose name is written with just one kanji).
- The latter facts would then be part of the blueprint for a brand new character from pop'n music éclale.
