  • E.C.M.'s genre, AKIBA, is a reference to Akihabara (秋葉原), a district of Tokyo, Japan, which is known as a major shopping area for electronic, computer and anime goods.
  • According to Yoichi Hayashi, E.C.M. stands for "Ese Chinese Music".
  • In pop'n music 2 CS and pop'n music 4, E.C.M.'s character was SHOLLKEE. This palette was SHOLLKEE's 1P color in pop'n music 2 CS.
